1. Informational & Decision-Support Purpose
Ramji Weather Station provides aggregated numerical weather predictions, marine wave models, hydrological streamflow models, and seismic feeds for situational awareness and general decision support.
Under no circumstances shall data, indices, or visualizations on this portal be used as the primary or sole basis for vessel navigation, port clearance, emergency evacuation, life-safety operations, or regulatory compliance. Users MUST always verify with official national authorities (e.g., India Meteorological Department [IMD], INCOIS, DG Shipping, NOAA, US Coast Guard, or designated Port Marine Officers).
2. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service, including all content, models, and third-party feeds, is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Ramji Weather Station expressly disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular maritime or logistical purpose, title, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that data feeds will be error-free, uninterrupted, timely, or compatible with any specific vessel electronic charting system (ECDIS) or automated logistics platform.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, in no event shall Ramji Weather Station, its curator, contributors, or upstream data providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to loss of cargo, vessel damage, demurrage charges, port delay penalties, business interruption, or personal injury—arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use this platform.
4. Third-Party Data Feeds & Intellectual Property
Data ingested from Open-Meteo, USGS, India Meteorological Department (IMD), MOSDAC/ISRO, and OpenStreetMap remains the property of the respective scientific institutions and is subject to their open-data licensing terms (e.g., CC-BY 4.0, USGS Public Domain, ODbL). Users agree to respect all upstream licensing terms and attribution requirements.
5. Simulated Models vs. Live Observations
Users acknowledge that certain charts (notably the DART wave anomaly simulation and the coastal sea-level departure curve) represent empirical or harmonic mathematical models and are explicitly demarcated as illustrative simulations rather than physical observed sensor telemetry.
6. Amendments & Jurisdiction
These draft terms may be updated as operational capabilities evolve. Any formalized agreements for commercial telemetry or private facility deployment will be governed by written contract subject to appropriate jurisdiction as determined by qualified legal counsel.
