Data Sources, Telemetry Providers & Licensing Attribution
Ramji Weather Station aggregates verified open-access meteorological, oceanographic, and geophysical data from global and national scientific institutions. This page documents the operational feeds, ingestion mechanisms, update frequencies, and legal attributions for every data panel in the dashboard.
The intelligence presented on this portal is compiled for commercial situational awareness, planning, and decision support. It does not constitute official regulatory navigational clearance, tsunami warnings, or mandatory disaster directives. Vessel captains, harbor pilots, and facility risk teams must always verify instructions with designated national authorities (e.g., India Meteorological Department [IMD], INCOIS, DG Shipping, NOAA/NWS, or local port captains).

🔬 Classification of Data Streams
Direct Sensor Telemetry
Seismic hypocenters and magnitudes from the USGS NEIC seismic network; Doppler radar reflectivity matrices from IMD S/C-band radars; and INSAT-3DS radiometer scans. These represent measured physical phenomena.
Predictive Numerical Models
Significant wave height ($H_s$), swell periods, ocean currents, surface winds, temperatures, and river inflows are simulated outputs from coupled atmospheric, oceanic, and hydrological models (ECMWF, Copernicus, GloFAS).
Empirical & Indicative Models
The DART Bottom Pressure Recorder (BPR) wave anomaly chart and Coastal Sea Level Departure curve are illustrative mathematical models based on semi-diurnal harmonic components and empirical surge setups. They are not live observed tide-gauge or NOAA buoy telemetry.
Auditability & Technical Governance
All network queries are initiated client-side directly by the user's browser to the authoritative endpoints listed above. No private intermediary servers cache, alter, or synthesize substitute values in place of live API responses. If an upstream service experiences a disruption, the dashboard immediately reports an error or fallback state with clear visual demarcation.
